Flavors started with the subtle cheese crust and then the spicy costeno campechano exploded with great spice and an almost chipotle roast! “ I came in here at the beginning of November & completely forgot to post my review. The tacos are AMAZING! I ended up ordering more after my first 2 tacos lol We started with the chips and guacamole, so delicious and flavorful! We ordered the chicken, quesadillas, Campechano and Cecina; we could've ordered the whole menu but stopped ourselves. Service was good, waiter kept checking in on us throughout our meal. I will be back again to eat more tacos & drink more margaritas ”

“ Sitting at the Shops at Hardy Oak, Stone Oak, is a relatively new Mexican style restaurant. Parking is ample, even with the many shops sharing it. As you walk in, you will notice the beautiful Toro art on the wall, which highlights the dining motif with a very friendly staff. I had an Estaconada, which was delicious. You get to choose your protein, and I chose steak. A flour tortilla with a cheesy crust, along with onions, guacamole, cilantro, and chicharron, sitting on top of the very juicy steak. This place is an unexpected pleasant surprise and I will be coming back. I encourage you to try it and let me know what you think in the comments. ”

“ Wow! If I could give Tacos Don Manolito 10 stars I definitely would. Tacos Don Manolito (TDM) are authentic Mexican tacos from the center of the country (Mexico City/Puebla region). Here in Texas we usually only get Mexican food from the north part of Mexico, which sometimes ends up just being Tex-Mex food. However if you are wondering why these tacos are different from the north of Mexico? It is all in the ingredients. TDM serves meat like longaniza and cecina that are NOT served in the northern part of the country. These items are super rare to find and even if you find them, the quality is usually pretty bad. However TDM meat quality is outstanding which makes their tacos so flavorful and delicious. For my first time visiting I decided to keep it classic and only order tacos. I got one taco de cecina, another of cecina with longaniza and one arrachera. The cecina was exactly like the one I used to have back home with my family in Mexico City. Cecina is a salty meat so I recommend using their darker salsa (I think is from chile pasilla, but might be wrong) to help offset some of the saltiness and bring out new flavours. The longaniza was also delicious and not greasy at all. However my favorite taco was the arrachera. It was so full of flavour and I could have eaten like 10 of those and live happy for the rest of my life. Last but not least, TDM is not cheap. They are using high quality ingredients which obviously means more money. So if you are looking for some cheap tacos these are must definitely not it. However I think they are worth every penny! ”

“ Decided to give TDM a try and was not disappointed. We had the queso fundido, chips and salsa, and a taco. It was more than enough food for us. Oh, and we had a frozen margarita which was tasty and strong. The tacos are served fresh and are heavily loaded with proteins and veggies. Everything was delicious. I do think the vive, in the evening, feels like a sandwich shop ambience while offering table ordering and a full bar. Seems mismatched. Services was excellent and attentive. ”

“ This taco shop is in a strip mall. It is not a big place, but enough seating. I like the cow on the bench on the outside. Great photo opportunity. This is a well known chain taco shop throughout Mexico City and I was thrilled they opened a location in San Antonio. This is not Tex-Mex and if that it what you are wanting and hoping for, you might not like these tacos. This is traditional Mexican street tacos. The price can be high compared to other taco shops in San Antonio, but these tacos are unique and well worth a try, but you need to keep an open mind. Again not Tex-Mex. The tacos here are huge and very generous portion size and I love these tacos! Food: Ordered three tacos: Costeno, Costeno Campechano, and Arrachera. The Costeno Campechano is amazing! The three meats are cooked in the sauce and it really makes this taco spicy and a flavor explosion in your mouth. The taco was so big that I had to use a fork to eat the meat that fell out of the tortilla. The pork rinds were not super crunchy, but the textures were all there and the flavor was incredible. The Costeno was delicious too, but I prefer the Campechano with the meat cooked in the sauce. The Arrachera taco was incredible too. The meat was tender and with a squeeze of lime and some of the three sauces and I was so happy! Employees: friendly and attentive Bathroom cleanliness: Above Average ”

“ My family loves this place. So authentically original and tasty. They have many options for any type of taco you can think of. You pick the style and the protein and then you add the sauces/salsas you prefer. I was unsure of the type of protein and the server gave me a taste of their specialty marinated beef and it was a hit! So yummy! The style I chose was a corn tortilla with a grilled cheese "shell" on the outside. I've never tasted anything like this tacos, but it was filling and satisfying. They have homemade aguas frescas and the horchata was the best I've had. The service is amazing... you can tell they truly want their patrons to enjoy their food. I'm not a drinker, but I hear they have a great happy hour. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's very nice to have a family owned taco place in Stone Oak that's different from the others. ”

“ A new hidden gem! Very traditional, fresh Mexican food. Tacos were amazing, super flavorful. The Maja is to die for! Service was great! Our waitress was super helpful, even giving us samples of the meats. We will definitely be back to try some margaritas next time. ”
